Sunday morning programs:

Each Sunday the children have an opportunity to explore their faith through age appropriate classes.  They use such activities as prayer, songs, stories and crafts to examine and discover the ways biblical faith journeys of our foreparents can help them in their day to day lives.   The children and youth  join their parents in the sanctuary for the first portion of the service.  After the Time With Younger Ones, all the young people go to their classes.

Youth Group:

Regular activities apart from the Sunday  morning Worship time are held for youth.  These combine both social activities and groups aimed at the exploration of our Christian faith.  Activities include such things as bowling, canoeing, retreats, lock-ins at the church, seasonal spiritual reflection groups and community service.

Vacation Bible School:

Once a year, usually one week in August, our church offers a program for the community for the purpose of learning how to be in the world with others in a respectful, mutual atmosphere.  Through Bible stories, games, crafts, music, fun and fellowship, we learn how to play and pray together in God’s world.  This program is for children between the ages of four to twelve years old.  Registration forms are available from the church office after June 1st.

Play, Pray and Praise Pre-School Group:

This group is for youngsters who are two to five years of age.   We meet on a regular basis during the school year.  This is an experimental play group that looks at Biblical figures from the Old and New Testament through games, stories, crafts, songs, and fellowship.  We have a time for refreshments that is organized by the moms and dads who are participating.

Moms and Tots Group:

This is an informal drop-in program for moms, infants, and toddlers (new-born to 2 years old.)  This group is designed for moms so that they can take a break from the regular routine to share ideas and socialise with other new moms.

Youth Confirmation Class:

Our classes are held once a year usually beginning mid-December and ending with the youth being confirmed in the Spring. The classes are held for an hour and a half on Sunday evenings. We explore the United Church of Canada’s New Creed and discover how “we” fit into the life of the church and of the world.  This group is for youth who are in grade nine and up.

Religion in Life Badge:

If you are a Brownie, Guide, Cub, Scout, Venturer, or Pathfinder and interested in working towards your Religion in Life Badge, please contact the church office 825-5292.  This program is offered in February.
